I did not carry out this work myself so if i do not elaborate on anything it's because i don't know, but will answer questions if i can. 1, best donor vehicle Renault 2.1 Trafic from 1990 onwards. 2, parts you will need,5 speed box and cross member for the rear mounting. 3 pedal box, brake resevoir. [ servo and master cylinder if you think you need a change ] Once you have removed your old 4 speed you will need to remove the gear selector shaft from the box.I think you do this by removing the end plate of the box to gain access, and the same on the 5 speed. Now remove selector shaft from 5 speed box,and also blanking plug on opposite side.Refit left hand selector shaft from 4 speed into where the blanking plug was removed, now refit blanking plug to opposite side. you now need to remove old clutch slave cylinder, pedal box, servo, master cylinder.Refit new pedal box,[fit new servo and master cylinder from donor vehicle if you want too ]your old ones will do but you have to fit the later resevoir. To fit the new box you will have to cut a slot in your cross member to allow for the extra length.this looks to be about 4x2 inches,i would suggest taking own measurements on this to make it look as neat as possible. Refit the new box to the engine and support it tempoary.take your new cross member and trim off any unwanted bits from the top,you will now need to trim the member around the exhaust, take great care and only remove the bare minimum as to leave as much metal as possible for strength. Offer up the member and and align with box mounting holes, now mark and drill holes 2 each end of member to LS chassis, bolt in place and tighten up. Refit all the bits and bobs i have forgot including your new clutch cable and job done. A couple of things make sure you fill the box with oil and the final drive, AND YOU MUST BLEED THE BRAKES OF COURSE. HAPPY SAILING CHEER'S ALAN.
