Corrosion, corrosion, corrosion. Remove the tail light assemblies, clean everything, then trace out the white wires, again, clean the terminal to ground. Throw away the rusty screws and replace with stainless, then check the license light, clean, then go inside, lift the left hand (drivers side) couch, locate the center ground point attached to the left rear inner wheel well.. A whole bunch of white wires attach to ground here. Remove all terminals, clean with sandpaper, smear with di-electric grease and reinstall with new hardwar. How do I know about ground problems? My 2.2 stalled and refused to cooperate in any way, After removing and swapping parts between two 2.2's for about a week, found the problem to be an "above ground" ground point at the computer under the front passenger seat.
